Wyman Hotel Review The Wyman Hotel & Inn is a historic luxury hotel and bed and breakfast. The beautiful old Victorian building has been lovingly restored with gorgeous décor and antiques.

The host enjoys doing 100 mile endurance runs in the mountains (crazy!) which provides an indication of his level of dedication and commitment that he and his wife could then apply to re-furbishing the hotel. It must have been a painstaking process, but the hard work paid off with the result being a beautiful hotel with a very welcoming atmosphere.

Where is the Wyman Hotel? The Wyman Hotel and Inn is located on the corner of 14th street and Greene Street, the main street of Silverton. It’s within very easy walking distance of the restaurants and bars.

Silverton is located in southwest Colorado in the powderhounds corner, a mecca for powder skiing. The hotel is only 6 miles from the hard-core Silverton Mountain as well as Silverton Powdercats, a cat skiing operation atop Molas Pass.

Hotel Rooms The hotel has 18 rooms with ensuite that are uniquely decorated with turn of the century antiques. The décor in some rooms is pretty and frilly, with flowery curtains and manchester. Other rooms such as the Hardrock room are more masculine and will be more readily accepted by blokes with plenty of testosterone. Or for a bit of fun, the Blair Street room has flamboyant gold décor reminiscent of an old bordello. You don’t have to be on romantic weekend away to enjoy the ambience of the rooms and hotel.

All the rooms have incredibly comfortable beds with down pillows and duvets. The rooms also have modern amenities such as a TV, hairdryer, wireless internet and heating.

Room configurations include single queen beds, two queen beds, king bed rooms, jacuzzi rooms and a family suite.

Hotel Facilities The hotel lobby is a delightful spot to sit in front of the fire and chat with other guests or have a tinker on the grand piano. There is also a small sitting room, and an art gallery on the first floor.

Dining An amazing hot cooked breakfast is served each morning. In addition to the gourmet hot fare, other treats such as fruit juice or a smoothie are on offer. The special touches extend beyond the food and beverages to little name tags on ornate stands. You’ll feel very motivated to get out of bed just to get to breakfast!

In the afternoon, tea and cookies are served in the sitting room, which is followed by wine and cheese, the perfect après ski activity.

Why Stay at the Wyman Hotel? In addition to the breakfast and the quality of the rooms and lavish décor, it’s the extra special touches put on everything that makes the difference. The hosts are delightful and provide 5 star service. And all this comes at a fraction of the price you’d expect for being treated like a king (or a queen or princess!)
