Vars - Risoul Ski Resort (La Forêt Blanche) France
A ski resort of huge dimensions plus great snow & terrain, Vars - Risoul tends to fly under the radar of most international skiing tourists. Whilst two distinct resorts, they are lift & piste interlinked under the name Espace La Forêt Blanche, providing 185km of piste trails on 1,100m of skiable vertical. With the majority of ski terrain above 2,000m altitude, Vars - Risoul is a relatively safe bet for skiing in the southern French Alps.
A total of 34 lifts serve the ski terrain ranging from 1,650m to 2,750m altitude. The lifts include 16 chairs, plus one combi gondola/chairlift. Before we get there to see it for ourselves, check out the Vars Risoul Ski Trail Map below.
