Bjelasnica Ski Resort Bosnia & Herzegovina
Bjelašnica ski resort (a.k.a. Babin Do) is the second largest ski resort in Bosnia & Herzegovina, and has the country's highest lifted point (2,067m), plus longest skiable vertical (800m). No surprise as it once hosted Winter Olympic downhill race events along with the nearby Jahorina ski resort (Bosnia & Herzegovina's largest)!
Skiing & Snowboarding, Lifts & Terrain
With only about 14km of ski trails on north-east aspect slopes served by 8 lifts, the Bjelasnica ski resort is not huge, but it certainly provides a high-quality on-piste experience, plus occasional freeride powder in the upper alpine zone. The longest run is around 3½km. A high-alpine plateau extends west from the summit of Bjelašnica, providing extensive backcountry ski-touring opportunities. Aside from two modern chairlifts (six-seater & quad), a new, gondola is planned for construction at Bjelašnica, running the full vertical and providing comfortable access to the entire mountain.

Where is Bjelasnica, Bosnia & Herzegovina?
Bjelašnica ski resort is in central Bosnia Herzegovina not far from the nation's capital city. Located just 100km 'as the seagull flies' from the Adriatic Sea, Bjelasnica is just 22km south (30min drive) of Sarajevo Airport (SJJ), and a further 3km from city centre of Sarajevo.

Alternatively one could easily stay in central Sarajevo. Choose somewhere from one of the many options near the historic 'Latin Bridge'.
