Honshu has a huge number of ski areas (in the order of 500+) however most of them are too small (or not very exciting) to spend any more than a day or two. As a result, a number of Honshu ski tour operators have spawned in recent times to transport and guide people to the best powder skiing and boarding areas. There are various options for Nagano ski tours as well as trips in northern Honshu.
