Skiing Greenland
Skiing in Greenland is amongst the world's last great ski adventures. Raw & wild, Greenland has Arctic ski experiences including land or boat-based ski touring & heli-skiing.
Greenland’s extreme northerly location make it a perfect spring skiing destination. High mountains & glaciers close to the coast provide a multitude of backcountry ski & snowboard possibilities from mid-March to June.
Greenland Ski Resorts
There are no ski resorts in Greenland. Skinning & helicopters are the only upward motion options (& maybe a snowmobile or two!)
Land & Boat-based Ski Touring in Greenland
Ski touring takes place in several locations of Greenland. One of the best is near the village of Kulusuk in the southeast of the country.

Where is Greenland?
Greenland may be part of the Powderhounds Europe section (it is still an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark after all) but is situated closer to New York than Copenhagen! The vast glacier covered land mass is in the North Atlantic between Canada & Iceland. The capital, Nuuk, is on the southwest coast around 2900km northeast of New York, 1400km west of Reykjavik Iceland & 3500km west of Copenhagen.
Travel to Greenland
Numerous small airports dot the coast of Greenland. The main airports with international connections include Nuuk (GOH), Kulusuk (KUS) & Kangerlussuaq (SFJ). International connections tend to be either with flights from Iceland (Reykjavik or Keflavik) & Denmark (Copenhagen). Maniitsoq (JSA) airport is an important domestic airport providing access to heliskiing operations.
