Bruson Ski Resort Switzerland

Bruson is the quiet, petite, relaxed and often misunderstood sibling of neighbouring Verbier. Small by comparison to the other 4 Vallees sectors, it is nonetheless fantastic on a powder day when crowds are non-existent, lines are fresh and the tree skiing is sublime. A modern set of ski lifts that is about to get better with a new addition in season 26/27, plus long off-piste freeride routes all the way to the valley when the snow is down to low elevations, make Bruson the Powderhounds' favourite in the region when the winter storms are raging. A standalone affordable lift pass and free parking at La Chable (or just a short step from the train station) sweetens the deal. More information about this European ski resort is coming soon.

Pros & Cons for Bruson Ski Resort

Pros

  • Best storm riding ski area in 4 Vallees.
  • Modern ski lifts.
  • Fun freeride terrain for all abilities.
  • Uncrowded.
  • Incredible tree-skiing.
  • Fantastic value lift pass price either as a standalone or part of the greater Verbier or 4 Vallees ski areas.
  • Excellent access by train from anywhere in Switzerland, and free parking if driving.
  • Superb on-mountain restaurants.

Cons

  • Short ish skiable vertical compared to the rest of 4 Vallees.
  • Relatively small amount of piste trails.
  • Some flat traversing involved in a few locations at the top & bottom of the ski area (can be tougher for snowboarders, but they made the choice!).

Pro or Con (depending on your perspective!)

  • Minimal on mountain accommodation, but plenty in the valley below.
  • Limited places to eat on the mountain but both are good and who really cares on a powder day anyway!
