Sinaia in Romania is one of the multitudes of ski resorts in the world that you likely have not heard about but perhaps should. Sinaia ski resort has a hefty 1,000m+ skiable vertical (the biggest in Romania), lift access not far from the centre of town, the incredible Peles Castle just a stroll away, plus a railway station that links the resort town by train to the capital Bucharest in just 1½hr.
