Weißsee Gletscherwelt Ski Resort Austria
Weissee Glacier World is an intriguing ski resort combining a remote hotel, lift & piste skiing plus backcountry ski-touring & freeride routes on neighbouring peaks including 3,088m Sonnblick. The ski area could be a multi-day destination for keen ski-tourers & freeriders, but also makes a fascinating day trip as part of a Pinzgau valley ski safari that could also include Kaprun-Kitzsteihorn, Kitzski via the Hollersbach base, Zillertal Arena via Krimml, Wildkogel, and of course Zell am See.
Until we visit and add more to this overview, check out the Weissee Ski Trail Map below.
Weissee Accommodation
Weissee ski area is situated in a remote valley south of the main Pinzgau in southern Salzburgerland. The ultimate location for staying overnight is the ski-in, ski-out Rudolfshütte, located at the top of the gondola. The hamlet around the base of the ski lifts is called Enzingerboden. It has some rooms & apartmetns for holiday rental. To the north in the main valley, the villages of Uttendorf, Mittersill and even Kaprun & Zell am See can make a great base for day trippers.
