Hinterstoder Ski Resort Austria
A surprisingly large ski area in the Upper Austria state, Hinterstoder resort is definitely flying under the radar of most skiers, Hinterstoder is lift pass linked with nearby Wurzeralm.
An impressive size - 1,400m of skiable vertical on cold north-aspect slopes, plus a longest run of 7.5km & 40km of pistes. Base altitude is a very low 600m a.s.l, but there is gondola up from the valley if the snow near the bottom is shite. Location is in a classically Austrian rural setting in the vicinity of Tauplitz, a known snow magnet.
