Andermatt Sedrun Ski Lessons & Guiding

The Andermattt Sedrun ski resort is a freeride off-piste mecca, particularly from the summit of the magnificent Gemsstock. 1,500m vertical descents in all directions from the summit are possible in varied ridges, gullies, bowls, couloirs & light trees. Unlike many ski areas, most of the Gemsstock's terrain is not visible, so local knowledge is essential. Getting a guide for the first off-piste descents at Andermatt is highly recommended - even we did it! You will be shown ski terrain and snow which would otherwise take weeks to find. Other backcountry ski areas from Oberalppass are best done with some local assistance as well, mainly due to avalanche hazard. For more info on skiing & snowboarding the region, see our Andermatt Sedrun Lifts & Terrain page.

Having a quality instructor or guide can make finding the best powder in the complex alpine terrain easier, more fun & safer. If in doubt about your skills get an off-piste ski or snowboard lesson.

Check out the listings below to find a great local ski instructor or mountain guide for your visit to Andermatt.
