Ride Shiga Lessons & Resort Tours

Whether you are looking for a lesson as a beginner or someone looking to improve their skills and / or you want to be shown around the piste of the massive ski area of Shiga Kogen (which consists of 19 ski areas), Ride Shiga is a great option.

Ride Shiga offers lessons and resort tours for those staying at Shiga Kogen and also people staying at other ski resorts with hotel pick-ups for private groups such as Nozawa Onsen, Madarao, Ryuoo, Kijimadaira, Takaifuji & Yomase.

Lessons and tours are provided in a private format. Your private group can be of any size as long as everyone is of a similar standard. Group lessons and tours are available only if at least 2 other participants at similar skill level have booked for the same day. Please make a booking request to find out about possible group lessons or tours dates.

Instructors have a minimum qualification of PSIA lvl2 equivalent and speak both Japanese & English.

Resort Tours

Shiga Kogen is Japan's largest lifted ski area with 19 ski areas on the one lift pass. Trying to navigate this the first time can be a little daunting, so Ride Shiga offer resort tours so you can get oriented to this massive area. Ride Shiga also offers these tours as part of the lessons for intermediates & above so you can get to see some of the ski areas whilst developing your skiing and riding skills.

Guided Powder Tours
