Simon from Green Kiwi Tours was an amazing host for our ski trip! He took us to six different ski resorts, which gave us the chance to experience a great variety of slopes and scenery. He also had fantastic recommendations for cafes and restaurants along the way.

Simon was an excellent and safe driver, always making sure we were comfortable and got around safely. On top of that, he has a great sense of humour and made the whole trip even more enjoyable.

What an amazing 7-day snow adventure! Simon at Green Kiwi Tours delivered all that was promised - and more.
Having never skied in NZ before it was fantastic to experience six of the South Island's best snow fields with Green Kiwi. All of the logistics (travel, accommodation, lift tickets, dinner bookings etc.) were taken care of by a knowledgeable and passionate local guide who knows the South Island inside out.
Our fun group of seven skiers and boarders was a mix of like-minded couples and solo travellers of various ages and nationalities all seeking quality snow-time.
We spent full days on the snow at Mt Hutt, Ohau, Treble Cone, Cardrona, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables, as well as a 'rest day' in Queenstown halfway through. I loved it all.
Simon ensured that everyone's individual needs were catered for, and his flexibility in adapting the itinerary to optimise quality snow-time every day meant that we got the very best experience possible.
I also really enjoyed the one directional journey (started in Christchurch and ended in Queenstown) travelling in a modern, spacious mini-van which enabled us to enjoy incredible scenery and interesting side trips along the way.
I look forward to doing it all again with Green Kiwi in 2027!

My first ski from Aug 10-16 with Green Kiwi Tours is Remarkably good. That’s why we accomplished the most enjoyable whole day ski in “Remarkable” with good weather and snow conditions. Needless to say the remarkable New Zealand terrain.

Everything exceeded my expectations during this tour. The natural heritage of NZ is definitely the heaven of the paradise. New Zealanders (the kiwis) are so generous and kind. I’ve been well treated and welcomed everywhere.

And for entire ski tour with Simon Bowie (Green Kiwi Tours), I deeply trust Simon himself is a very typical generous and kind kiwi, otherwise we want have the fun group of 7 pax from 4 different countries, different ages and different levels of skiers l/ snowboarder that stayed very closely together for 7 consecutive days.

The itinerary fits me as a first visitor to New Zealand ski terrain. Simon already addressed all the hassles of accommodation and traffic across 6 different ski fields from the Hutt, Ohau, Treble Cone, Cardrona, Coronet Peak and Remarkable. We avoided the hassle of queuing to buy lift pass, drop off and pick up our gears during rainy days, and the pain to drive ourselves with tiring bodies after the ski.

Apart from skiing, Simon is a very good kiwi where he told us history and geography of NZ, we enjoyed also the bonus sight seeing of few wonders. Simon always treated us well with NZ snack and home made snack from his wife. The shared accommodation in Haka House is very clean and comfortable, it made me “stay young and energetic feeling”.

Speechless, I feel extremely satisfied with the entire tour. Everything particularly our group of 7. Needless to say Simon is the most vital component of the entire journey.

I highly recommend everyone to take their virgin Kiwi ski tour with Simon. And certainly NZ is a great place for ski while the Northern hemisphere is extremely warm during August. Stay in touch Simon, hope you will have time to spend with us again next year. Stay in touch.

Excellent tour, had the best time. Hoping to do it again next year. Had a small group. Simon (our tour guide) was an exceptional host. He showed us 5 different ski fields in 5 days. Everything, like accommodation, travel and breakfast was organised and at a high standard.
If we had any trouble, Simon would sort it. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys skiing/ boarding even if your only a beginner or an expert.

I've been on a few ski tours now, and this has to be my favourite so far. Five mountains in five days, travelling across the beautiful New Zealand landscape. It was a tour with a lot of soul, and no expense or detail seems spared by Simon Bowie, the owner-operator of Green Kiwi Tours. He took the time to show us the sights and take us to smaller private ski club mountains that typically aren't included in large tours. As for how it's run, it's typically a choose-your-own-adventure kind of setup; Simon gets the group to the mountain, then there's a discussion as to whether we'll all ski together or do our own thing. Meet up for lunch, pick a departure time, rinse and repeat. Very chill. Each end-of-day stop was pretty lush—one even had a sauna. More was included in the tour than I initially thought, ski hire out of Christchurch is also so much cheaper than out of Queenstown.

That much skiing is a lot. Definitely worth getting your fitness up ahead of the trip to guard against injuries. But it was a wild adventure—with private accommodation that isn't much more expensive than doing a backpacker equivalent or staying in Queenstown for six nights. It's one I'd happily do again—if that's any recommendation to go by.
