Flying

Or if you’re visiting Castle Mountain as part of a road trip with a slight detour off the Powder Highway, then there are various airports that you could use for entry/exit into the region.

Driving to Castle Mountain Alberta

Other than a very limited transport service for a club that offers ski and snowboard lessons, there are no shuttles or bus services to Castle Mountain, so self-drive is the best way to get there. The GPS coordinates are 49.31635 N by 114.41011 W.

It’s an easy enough drive and even though the last part of road is unsealed, it’s a well maintained road. Best of all, the parking is free and it’s right at the base of the ski resort not far from the lifts.

Getting Around the Ski Resort

The base area of Castle Mountain Resort is rather small so it’s very easy just to walk around. The Castle Lodge is just 130 metres across the car park to the day lodge, and the condos and cabins are no more than 200-350m from the main base.
