Four Seasons Vail

Four Seasons Vail

The Four Seasons at Vail Colorado is a 5-star hotel, providing luxurious accommodation and impeccable service. This Vail hotel is very modern and the design of the resort has been very well considered.

Where is the Four Seasons Located?

The hotel is located at the world famous Vail ski resort at the gateway to Vail Village (One Vail Road, Vail Colorado). The hotel is a 7-10 minute walk to the main Vail Village lift (the Gondola One). It’s possible to get a shuttle between the hotel and the slopes, but it’s probably not necessary because it’s a very easy walk. You don’t have to walk in your ski boots or carry your equipment. This is all stored at the fantastic slopeside ski concierge (see below).

The shops, restaurants and bars of Vail Village are a 2-10 minute walk away, whilst the Lionshead Village is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. If your legs are weary from too much skiing or snowboarding, regular shuttle buses connect the hotel very well with both Vail Village and Lionshead.

Hotel Rooms

The Four Seasons Resort Vail offers luxurious and modern guest rooms with a view of the garden, the village or the mountain. These rooms provide occupancy for two to four guests and are equipped with either a gorgeous King size bed or two double beds.

As an example, the Deluxe Mountain View rooms are equipped with a stone gas fireplace, a furnished terrace, a very spacious walk-in closet, an oversized leather chair and an ottoman, a desk, an oversized bathroom with a separate bath tub, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, wireless internet, safe and refrigerator.

The hotel also has a range of magnificent suites that provide occupancy for 3 to 4 guests, and the Gore Suite can be connected with other deluxe rooms to form a four to five bedroom suite.

Hotel Facilities and Services

Facilities and services include:
  • a heated swimming pool , 75feet (23 metres) in length
  • two outdoor hot tubs with a heated cupboard that stores bathrobes and towels
  • 24 hour business center
  • children’s play area
  • games room
  • a large and modern fitness center
  • full concierge service
  • day spa and hair salon with 13 treatment rooms including two with a whirlpool and fireplace
  • use of a Four Seasons car (US license only)
The Four Seasons has an amazing ski concierge service which is located in a separate building near the base of the Gondola One. The bell staff will transport your boots, skis or snowboard to the ski concierge building for overnight storage. There are lockers that are equipped with boot dryers, and you can also store your helmet and goggles. Grooming and weather reports are available as well as complimentary hot cocoa, coffee, muffins, and après cookies. The concierge can arrange for your skis or snowboard to be waxed and tuned, and the building incorporates a small Gorsuch retail ski shop if you want to purchase gloves, a helmet or ski clothing.

If you need to rent equipment, you can be fitted for boots and skis at the Gorsuch outlet on site at the hotel. This information is transferred to the ski concierge building so your equipment will be ready for you in the morning.

Children are well catered for at the Four Seasons. In addition to the games room and play area, babysitting services can be arranged, and assistance can be provided to childproof the hotel rooms. Guests can borrow highchairs, playpens, strollers and baby joggers, and the hotel can provide emergency supplies of diapers, formula, bottles and bottle warmers.

Dining and Bar

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the Flame Restaurant, a smart and chic space that overlooks the pool area and the mountains. The Four Seasons have managed to snaffle executive chef Jason Harrison who has developed a very creative and innovative menu. Dinner is a marvellous affair at Flame. The gorgeous mountain dishes, some with an Asian influence, are certain to satisfy even the most fastidious tastebuds. One read of the menu and your mouth will be watering!

The Fireside Lounge is open from 3pm for après ski cocktails and dining. This is a sedate bar where you can lounge in one of the leather chairs or stand around the fireplaces.

The hotel offers 24 hour in-room dining, and there is a small coffee shop. During summer the pool bar also serves up meals in a casual environment.

The Four Seasons is an outstanding hotel. The hotel is physically very attractive and luxurious. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished, and the décor throughout the hotel and the pool area is very chic and tasteful.

Yet what really makes this hotel stand out above the rest is the staff and the superb service they provide. It can be assumed that management have put a lot of work into staff orientation and development to ensure that impeccable service levels are maintained.

The ski concierge was very impressive and it made getting onto the slopes effortless. The fantastic coffee was also a great start to the day, and they staff were very helpful in getting our skis repaired.

The housekeeping service was also excellent. For the turndown service they seemed to almost do another full clean of the room, and they even left a little hot pack in the bed to warm the feet!

The sleep quality was fantastic. The bed was ooh so comfortable, and the room was really really quiet. We couldn't hear anything outside at all, nor was there any noise from the internal corridor of the hotel.

The Four Seasons is a beautiful place to stay and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a little luxury whilst in Vail.
