About Hotel Valle Nevado

Hotel Valle Nevado is the most exclusive luxury hotel accommodation at Valle Nevado for those who like that bit of extra comfort and style.

Where is Hotel Valle Nevado?

This hotel is very conveniently located slopeside at the Valle Nevado ski area in Tres Valles of Chile. It is pretty much ski-in ski-out. The bars, restaurants and shops are all within very short walking distance.

Hotel Rooms

There are 53 spacious rooms all with a terrace and direct access to the slopes. There are two classes of rooms:

Suites (452sqft) - they have a master bedroom with a double bed plus a living / sitting room and 2 extra sofa beds. Each suite has a balcony.
Standard (334 sqft) - have a bedroom with 2 X single beds plus 1 extra sofa bed.

All accommodations have spectacular views of the Andes mountains and resort slopes.

The facilities of the hotel and the resort are fabulous. These include:

1st floor café, lounge, library room, free wi-fi and lots of computers

Hotel Valle Nevado has the most exclusive restaurant in the resort, La Fourchette which specialises in French Mediterranean cuisine.

Check in: 4 pm. If the room is available earlier guests may check in before this time, otherwise they may leave their luggage at the front desk and enjoy the slopes while they wait.

Check out: 10 am. If guests check out after this time, a late check-out fee equivalent to the rack rate for one night will be charged to the account.

Best On The Hill BUT Way Over-Priced

The first thing you should know about skiing in Valle Nevado is that accommodation is expensive....very expensive..and not particularly great value.

The hotel Valle Nevado claims to be 5-star however compared to north American resorts I would say it is on-par with a 4-star (at best).

There is no doubt that you are paying for the position which is simply outstanding. You can almost jump from your balcony onto the slopes so this is definately worth a full score.

The staff were generally friendly and there was always enough of them that could speak fluent English. There did seem to be a degree of organised kaos at times!

The rooms were adequate although had a capacity of only 3 so any more in your group and you are up for another room. The beds were very comfortable however there was a noticeable amount of noise coming from the hallway in the evening and in the morning rush hour.

The breakfast in the restaurant was great with a nice variety of food however the other restaurants in the complex were nothing outstanding.

Overall the experience was pleasurable however the value was poor against north American standards. I am glad I have been and stayed here but I won't be back.
