Itinerary

This is an itinerary outline. Each day the guide will decide on the ski area depending on the snow and weather conditions.

Day 1 - Arrival

• Pick-up from Chitose Airport or Asahikawa airport and relax as you get driven through the snowy mountain passes until your arrival in Furano, the centre of the powder belt.
• Check in to your accommodation, get settled in.
• 7pm briefing on the trip.

Day 2 - 5 Furano Zone

• The mountains are bigger, the powder is dryer and the touring options are endless. The knowledgeable guides lead the way to numerous spots in and around the Daisetsuzan national park.
• There is a choice of 6 resorts and a lot more backcountry areas,
• 3 days of skiing with the potential to ski/ride at Furano, Tomamu, Sahoro, Tokachidake/Furanodake
• 1 rest day, group excursion or optional added guided ski day for those who want more

Day 6 - 8: Asahikawa Zone

• 3 days of skiing from the northern city of of Asahikawa
• Options of Asahidake, Kamui, Kurodake or backcountry near Asahikawa

Day 9 - Departure

• You'll be dropped off at the airport or train station for your reluctant departure

Terms & Conditions

CANCELATION POLICY

• Day guides: A full payment is required upon time of booking. If booking is canceled a 20% deposit will be non-refundable. This deposit is fully transferable till 30 days prior to the start date.  
• Multi day tours: Private tour: A 50% deposit is required upon the time of booking. The outstanding 50% is due 30 days prior to the booking start date. If booking is canceled a 30% deposit will be non-refundable. Once a tour has commenced from the date specified 100% is non refundable.
• Group Tour: An initial deposit of ¥250,000 yen per person is required to secure your place and then the remainder will be calculated and invoiced 30 days prior to booking. If booking is canceled the ¥250,000 deposit will be non-refundable. 

CANCELLATION BY THE TRAVELER:

• 30 plus days prior to booking date commencement – deposit will be forfeited but transferable to a later date or the next season
• 8 – 29 days prior to booking commencement – 50% of total booking value will be forfeited
• Up to 7 days prior to booking commencement – total booking value will be forfeited

RIGHTS RESERVED:

• Summit Ski cannot offer refunds for missed reservations, early departures, inclement weather/extreme avalanche danger, snow conditions, or force majeure events and are not responsible for additional expenses incurred in preparing for the trip (e.g. airline tickets, visa application fees, equipment purchases, etc).

CANCELLATIONS BY SUMMIT SKI

• Summit Ski School & Guiding reserves the right to cancel any guided or instructional day before it is confirmed to run or due to circumstances beyond our control. If this occurs, you will be given the option of changing to another guided or instructional day if available or receiving a full refund. Summit is not responsible for any incidental expense agents or participants have incurred as a result of your booking. If an alternative guided or instructional day is chosen and it is at a lower value than the original booked guided or instructional day Summit will refund the difference. If the alternative guided or instructional day is of a higher value, then you will pay the difference in price.

PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT FORM:

• A Participant Agreement form is required for each person booked to a guided or instructional day. For group bookings, it is the responsibility of the person, whose name holds the booking, to ensure that each member of their group has read and understands the participant agreement form. The person whose name holds the booking takes full responsibility for the group in agreement with terms and conditions as well as the participant agreement form, regardless if the participant form has been signed or not. Participant agreement forms are preferably filled in prior to a guided or instructional day or completed before first lift on the day of the booking. If the customer fails to sign the participant form then the customer confirms that their payment will be recognised and counted as agreement and confirmation of all details within participant form as well as confirmation for the terms and conditions.

REFUNDS:

• If you are eligible for a refund once a booking has been canceled, the balance less any non-refundable amounts & cancellation fees will be forwarded to you within 2-6 weeks.
