We had the most amazing 7 days in Chile with Forrest and Gabi! They put a lot of time and effort into curating the perfect itinerary that aligned with our skills and interests.

With Forrest’s local expertise, we were able to optimize each day based on weather conditions and terrain novelty. In addition to having so much fun skiing every single day, we also always felt safe and out of avalanche/weather danger.

Although initially hesitant about choosing Apex because of the long travel time to get to Malalcahuello, we were so glad we ended up here. We felt like we had a really local experience due to the fact that this area is not yet overcrowded with tourists.

The price for the all inclusive guiding package is also unbeatable. The Posada del Rio lodge that you stay in feels so luxurious (not to mention the massages, welcome package, and hot tub experience that is also included!).

APEX is way more than just a guide company, by the end of the trip Forrest and Gabi felt like family and we were sad to leave! They are both passionate about guiding and were so helpful and friendly. We learned a lot about the local area and Chilean history from them. We were also able to try a lot of local food and have a culturally immersive experience which made our trip even more unique and special.

Would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to get intense and fun backcountry skiing in in the most beautiful backdrop of the Chilean Andes!
