Where is Kokusetsu Horotachi?
The Horotachi Ski Resort is just 2km out of Horokanai town in the Kamikawa Subprefecture in Northern Hokkaido. It is 46km northwest of the city of
Asahikawa which equates to about a one hour drive.
Kokusetsu Horotachi Ski Area is just southeast of Santo-zan, which is a peak that is utilised for backcountry touring.
Driving to Horotachi

It’s a relatively easy drive to Horotachi and there are no steep or winding roads to get there, but roads are likely to be snowy. It is on google maps or the telephone number for GPS navigation is 0165-35-3410.
You can park your car very close to the day lodge and the lift, and as to be expected, parking is free.
