The Grand St Bernard region is an ideal off-piste freeride playground set deep in the Swiss Valais near the border with Italy's Aosta valley. Fans of off-piste skiing and freerando will discover large snowfields at altitude and countless powder routes hidden in virgin forests of traces on the outskirts of small village resorts typical of Valais Switzerland. For this star-shaped safari which combines the use of the 92 ski lifts from 7 village resorts plus the Verbier resort, your base is the Hotel Terminus in the village of Orsières.

The hotel is well located in the heart of the Swiss village of Orsières, just across the road from the railway terminus! GRAND SAINT BERNARD HOSPICE

The Entremont valley in the Valais near the border with Italy is where Saint Bernard d'Aosta created a high-altitude hospice in the year AD1050, to welcome and protect the many travelers who take this passage through the Alps. Built just a century ago, the current hospice inn complements the millennial hospitality of the Canons by offering a comfortable welcome (private rooms with bathroom), in a non-religious setting. All its profits go to the Hospice du Grand-Saint-Bernard, a recognized public utility organization. At the table, regional products and Valais specialties are in the spotlight.

The journey to the hospice and single overnight stay is optional, but highly recommended. The tour price includes dinner & breakfast at the hospice.
