The heli skiing packages offer unlimited vertical so you can ride or ride as much as the conditions and your thighs allow.

Equipment

Majestic Heli Ski provide the required equipment to safely enjoy the untracked powder and train you in its use.

Equipment provided includes powder skis and adjustable poles, plus there’s a limited number of snowboards. You’ll need to BYO ski or snowboard boots.

The safety equipment provided are an avalanche airbag backpack, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, radio, and a harness with a carabiner.

Ability Level

Majestic Heli Ski Alaska can cater to a range of abilities. As a minimum you need to be a strong intermediate skier or snowboarder in a range of off-piste snow conditions including experience with powder skiing. You don’t need to be a pro, but you do need to be confident riding snow that is not groomed and natural mountain terrain. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Private Heliski Packages

You and your best friends can book a private trip with Majestic Heli Ski. This package may allow you to fly deeper into the range, as well as seek out those hard to find and rarely, if ever skied runs for the ultimate adventure. Private packages are for up to 7 guests with 3 guests and 2 guides for a single load or up to 7 guests with 3 guides for a double load.

You’ll have guides, a private dedicated helicopter, and a new super luxurious lodge all to yourselves. This will be an unforgettable and exclusive experience, guaranteed! Please get in touch for pricing and availability.

Itinerary Outline

Arrival Day

  • You will be greeted by the staff in the evening at the Anchorage International Airport, typically between 6pm to 8pm.
  • You will be chauffeured from the airport to the lodge which is just 2.5 hours drive away (115 miles)
  • You’ll settle into your comfortable accommodation at the lodge.

Morning

  • Begin the day with optional yoga and stretching
  • Stunning breakfast at 8am

First Morning

  • On your first day you’ll read and sign waivers, get outfitted with ski or snowboard gear if required
  • Receive safety equipment and an orientation on its use
  • Safety briefing on procedures and protocols including helicopter orientation
  • Practical session of avalanche rescue skills and companion rescue training
  • This briefing process may take 1 to 3 hours depending on the number of guests. Majestic Heliski so not compromise on safety and believe in thorough guest training.

Typical Day of Skiing & Riding

  • 6 to 10 epic runs 
  • Lunch is served in the field and consists of homemade soups, sandwiches, desserts and hot cocoa.

Apres Ski Late Afternoon

  • Return to the lodge
  • Appetizers are served
  • Drinks at the bar
  • You may want to soak in the hot tub or book a massage

Evening

  • The chefs serve dinner consisting of modern cuisine that is beautifully presented
  • Multi-course meal
  • The lodge has a full service bar which stays open well into the evening, although “quiet time” starts at 11pm

Down Days

  • Whilst the Majestic Heliski location that is slightly inland is less weather plagued than other Alaskan heliski outfits, this is Alaska heli skiing where no fly days are a fact of life because all that abundant snow doesn’t fall without storms. Heavy snow, strong winds and poor visibility may preclude flying and you will need to be patient and wait for flying weather.
  • Alternative activities include a sightseeing tour, ice climbing, or cross-country skiing, or you may wish to fully relax at the lodge with a hot tub and massage.

Departure Day

  • In the late afternoon the staff will drive you to Anchorage

Majestic Heli Ski Lodge

The Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge is your retreat, with the helicopter staging area conveniently located right outside the door of the lodge.

The deluxe lodge has lovely guest rooms with ensuite, and various common areas including a full service bar and a stunning dining and sitting room. Enjoy the wilderness scenery from the hot tub whilst soaking tired muscles, or watch the Northern Lights dance in the night sky from the deck.

Other lodge features include yoga and morning stretch sessions and massage services.

Meals

The dining experiences are likely to be a major highlight of your trip, and that’s not downplaying how fabulous the heli skiing will be. Dinner consists of multiple courses and the fabulous culinary team prepare a variety of dishes, including local specialties like wild Alaskan salmon, halibut, and king crab. You can also expect salad starters, the finest cuts of meat, fresh vegetables and homemade breads. Desserts are usually a spectacularly handcrafted affair.

Breakfast is also a grand affair at the lodge, whilst lunch is usually eaten out in the field and consists of soup and sandwiches.
