Sled Skiing Chile
Sled Skiing Chile is a small family operation headed up by Nico who is a Chilean snowboard champion and pioneer who started riding the slopes of the Andes mountains back in ’92. He immigrated to the US in 2000, went to business school, taught snowboarding at Stevens Pass and lives some of time in Washington State with his wife and son. During March and April he runs Sled Skiing Alaska in Valdez Alaska, and spends the southern hemisphere winters guiding in the Andes mountains.

Booking and Payment
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 35% is required to secure your spot.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the trip start date.
- Failure to Pay: If final payment is not received by the due date, Sled Skiing Chile reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
- Contract Conclusion: A contract is formed upon receipt of the deposit and issuance of a
confirmation invoice.
- Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation by Guest: Cancellations must be submitted in writing. If a replacement is
found, payments may be transferred, minus administration fees.
- Weather/Operational Cancellations: Sled-skiing is dependent on weather and snow
conditions. If a trip is cancelled or shortened due to adverse weather, avalanche hazard,
or mechanical breakdown, Sled Skiing Alaska will offer a full credit for unused
snowmobile time redeemed up to 2 years. U may also redeem you credit during March
and April in Valdez Alaska, with our sister company Sled Skiing Alaska.
No Refunds: No refunds will be provided for unused days due to injury, illness, late
arrival, early departure, or lack of fitness/ski ability.
3. Risk Acknowledgment and Waiver
Age limit: Minimum age for participants is 18, or 14+ with guardians.
Inherent Risks: Sled-skiing takes place in uncontrolled wilderness. Hazards include, but
are not limited to, avalanches, snow immersion, crevasse falls, collisions with
trees/rocks, extreme cold, and snowmobile accidents.
Mandatory Waiver: All guests must sign a "Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims,
Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement" before participating. Refusal to sign will
result in cancellation without refund.
4. Safety and Behavior
Safety Briefing: Attendance at all safety briefings (Avalanche Rescue, Snowmobile
Safety) is mandatory.
Safety Gear: All guests must bring and use a transceiver, shovel, and probe pair with a
back pack and a simple climbing harness with a carabiner
Guide Authority: The guide/driver has sole authority to refuse service to any participant
who violates safety rules, acts dangerously, or is under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
Such termination will not result in a refund.
Physical Fitness: Guests are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary skill and
physical condition to participate.
5. Medical and Travel Insurance
Mandatory Insurance: It is highly recommended/mandatory that all guests purchase
comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and
interruption insurance.
Medical Information: Guests must disclose all allergies, illnesses, and medications to
Sled Skiing Alaska prior to the trip.
