Furano & Central Hokkaido Day Guiding

Furano Snow Tours offer day guiding from their base in Furano, for lift-accessed terrain at Furano or nearby ski areas. This guiding is for PRIVATE GROUPS ONLY and for a MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS. Considering that the snow isn't always pits deep, you can put a buffer day in there, so you could book 3 days out of 4 for example, and pick the best 3 days to head out.

The guiding is for the lift-accessed off-piste and backcountry terrain at Furano, Asahidake, Tomamu, Sahoro or Kamui, and in conjunction with your guide the best spot will be chosen depending on conditions.

Private Groups

The Furano Snow Tours day guiding is for private groups only of 1-6 people i.e. you cannot join a group as a solo, duo or small group. The pricing is tiered depending on the number in your group, and is also slightly higher for ski areas away from Furano to cover the transport time and costs. Ability

This tour is for skiers or boarders who are a minimum of strong intermediate to advanced level in powder.

Equipment Required

Avalanche safety equipment is a requirement as this tour focuses on lift-accessed skiing off-piste and backcountry terrain. Those without avalanche safety equipment can rent an avi pack from FST. Fat skis and long wide snowboards are recommended for skiing deep powder. Powder snowboard rentals are also available.

FST Terms & Conditions

DEPOSIT & FULL PAYMENT

  • A 20% deposit of the tour price is required to confirm your booking.
  • All deposits are non-refundable.
  • Full payment is due 30 days prior to the start date of the tour.
  • Full payment is required for tours booked within 30 days of the tour start date.
  • All payments are in Japanese Yen (JPY)

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellation fee for cancellations 30 days and more is 20% of the tour cost.
  • Cancellation fee for cancellations under 30 days is 100% of the tour cost.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

  • Payment is made by credit card. We will email you an invoice for credit card payment.

TOUR SIZES

  • Minimum of 4 people are required for a tour to commence.
  • Tour sizes will be no more than 10 people with a max ratio of 1 guide to 6 people max.

WAIVER FORM

  • A waiver form must be read and signed before your tour commences.
  • Customers 18 years and under must have a parent or legal guardian sign their release of liability.

BACKCOUNTRY SAFETY EQUIPMENT

  • Backcountry safety equipment is a required for this tour.
  • Backcountry safety equipment can be hired which includes, beacon, shovel, probe and backpack.
