Cancellation & Rescheduling

Day Tours

Cancellation Fees

More than 7 days before tour - 10,000 yen administration fee
7 days to 48 hours before tour - 30% cancellation fee
Less than 48 hours before tour - 50% cancellation fee
Same day cancellation or no-show - 100% cancellation fee

Rescheduling

More than 7 days before tour - 5,000 yen administration fee
7 days to 48 hours before tour - 10,000 yen administration fee
Less than 48 hours before tour - rescheduling unavailable
All rescheduling requests are subject to availability

Multi Day Tours & Camps Cancellation Policy

The 20% deposit is non-refundable.

Balance refunds:

More than 120 days before departure - remaining balance refunded minus deposit
60-120 days before departure - up to 50% of remaining balance refunded
Less than 60 days before departure - non-refundable

Weather Cancellations

As safety comes first, tours may be cancelled due to weather considerations.

If First Tracks Japan cancels a tour due to unsafe conditions or operational issues, depending on the situation, guests may be offered:

A full refund
Rescheduling
Alternative tour options

I did a half day learning how to use my avalanche gear was really easy to understand and I got a ton out of it! Good prices, reliable and would definitely go touring with Adam in the future!

Great summer ride - thanks Adam

I had a lesson with Adam at Shiga Kogen this May, and it was an awesome experience. He taught me a lot of new techniques that immediately improved my riding, even in the spring slush conditions. But what really made it special was that he also share me some hidden travel spots around Nagano Prefecture—he's been a local for over 10 years, so he really knows the area inside out. I left feeling like a better rider and also got to see parts of Nagano I would have never found on my own. I'll definitely book him again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

The best guide

It was so much fun. We were taken to some incredible spots that weren’t too busy. Adam was our guide he was honestly incredible, hilarious so easy to get along with and a really incredible welcoming person, very patient and has a lot of great knowledge. He made me and my group feeling really safe and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Adam Paluch - Ski Guide

Adam was a fantastic ski guide and coach for our family over spring skiing Shiga Kogen - 2026. He as terrific with our girls (8 and 9), very patient with them and helped us navigate best parts of the massive resort. Also steered us towards best food spots on the mountain too.

Looking forward to skiing with him again. Thanks Adam!
