The Khyber Hotel is situated in a secluded spot in
Gulmarg in Kashmir, adjacent to the gondola. It’s perched up slightly on a hill, and offers majestic views of the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas.
The Khyber is a 450m walk from the Gulmarg Gondola, whilst advanced riders could ski to the gondola.
The hotel is 1.7km from the Gulmarg Market.
Rooms
The hotel rooms exude luxury with built in walnut timber and decorated in traditional Kashmiri silk & wool carpet and hand-made furniture.
The king rooms cater for 2 guests with the option for a 3rd guest, and some rooms have a balcony and offer amazing views of the mountains.
All rooms have a walk in closet, electronic safe, LED television, wireless internet access and tea/coffee maker. Bathrooms have a bath tub and shower, bathrobe, slippers and luxury toiletries.
The Khyber in Gulmarg also has cottages with 1 or 2 bedrooms, but these are not self-contained.

The Cloves Restaurant is the best restaurant in Gulmarg, and serves deluxe versions of Kashmiris favourites along with international cuisine. For dinner you can choose between a la carte or buffet.
Chaikash is a charming tea lounge and patisserie.
Calabash is a sheeshah lounge.
There is no bar at the Khyber and alcohol is not served. It is possible to BYO alcohol and drink this in the communal lounge.
