Our stay at the Lofts Apartments in Queenstown was incredibly comfortable. The location was primo and it couldn’t have got more central to all that Queenstown has to offer. Considering its location on Shotover St (set back just a little), it was surprisingly very quiet, and with great blackout curtains, we had amazing sleeps.

Our 1 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor was very very tired, especially the bedroom and bathroom, and the bathroom was decidedly dirty with very grubby grouting and a little mould on the ceiling which was not surprising considering that the ventilation fan was caked in gunk. However all was forgiven considering the cheap price, the functionality, and plenty of space. The bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area were all very spacious, especially for 2 of us. The balcony was also really large, and there were floor to ceiling windows with views of the tops of the mountains and peek-a-boo views of the lake. Having a washer and dryer in the bathroom was also nice.

Whilst we had to pay for parking as to be expected for such a central location, it was easy parking just out the back of the apartments and provided the advantage of not having to walk through reception in the morning to get an unwanted waft of curry.

If you keep your expectation low for modern accommodation, these apartments are superb for location and functionality.
