Hotel 2307
Hotel 2307 is a lovely renovated ryokan at the base of the quiet Kumanoyu Ski Resort of
Shiga Kogen. It features lovely indoor and outdoor onsen baths, Japanese washitsu/tatami rooms with private toilet, and lovely Japanese meals, so this is a lovely ryokan to stay to get an authentic Japanese experience.
If you prefer western beds, there are a small selection of western style or Japanese/western combo rooms.
“2307” refers to the altitude in metres of the top lift at nearby Yokoteyama Ski Resort. The Kumanoyu Ski Resort is also at high elevation.
Where is Hotel and Onsen 2307?
Hotel 2307 is situated at the base of the
Kumanoyu Ski Resort of Shiga Kogen, which is part of the southern group of Shiga Kogen ski areas along with Yokoteyama and Shibutoge.
It is just 100m to the lifts of Kumanoyu and 2 minutes walk to the
Yokoteyama Ski Resort. Advanced skiers/riders can ski-in to the hotel.
You can rent ski and snowboard equipment from the Shiga Palace Hotel which is 2 minutes walk away.
To travel to Hotel 2307, you can get a bus from Nagano train station or Yudanaka train station, which stops at the Hotaru Onsen bus stop and then it is a 1 minute walk to the hotel. Alternatively you can get a Chuo Taxi from the Tokyo airports or other major Nagano ski resorts.
To get to the northern Shiga Kogen ski areas, there are shuttle buses from the nearby bus stop.

Meals
Breakfast can be included in your stay which is a Japanese-style set menu. You also have the option for a half board package with breakfast and dinner.
Dinner is a set menu such as an exquisite kaiseki meal.
The dining area is quite beautiful and has semi-private rooms. It’s a far cry from the soulless dining halls you find at some of the Shiga Kogen hotels.
