Xplore By Active Life
Xplore offers modern Japanese simplicity with Western comforts. Newly renovated in 2018, Xplore is the latest addition to the Active Life family. Designed around the simple pleasures of life, Xplore is for those who what to maximise their skiing experience at Madarao.
For the 18/19 season, Xplore is offering free ski/snowboard lessons (for stays of 4+ nights) and transport to 6 nearby ski resorts (peak season only) exclusively to hotel guests (peak season only).
Where is Xplore by Active Life?

Xplore Hotel is only 220m (3 mins walk) to the main lifts of the Madarao Ski Resort and you can pretty much ski-in.
Rooms
There are three room types:
- Western queen room with ensuite bathroom (1-2 guests)
- Japanese room with ensuite bathroom (2-4 guests)
- Japanese standard room, shared bathroom and toilet (1-2 guests)
All rooms equipped with free WiFi, heating, fridge, safe, smartTV, free toiletries and signature Active Life beds.
Facilities & Services
After grabbing a hearty breakfast from the dinning room, and juicing up on your daily caffeine shot, head down to the ski/snowboard room, gear up and ski out back of the hotel to ski slopes.
At the end of the day relax in the lounge and enjoy a cleansing ale or your favourite cocktail in the Sports bar. Relax your tired muscles in our beautiful traditional Japanese hot bath.
Relax in the Izakaya, enjoying some Japanese tapas and sake from our collection from local and regional brewers.
At the end of the night retire to your room to watch Netflix and drift away on the famous Active Life beds...recharge...repeat.
