Good for a Day

Gotta love a powder day!
Some steeper lines in the sidecountry
Much of the tree skiing is mellow
Snowboarders may not like Grandeco as much as skiers
Tree skiing
We had a really fun day out exploring powder lines at Grandeco. Some of the best powder stashes with a decent gradient are not that easy to find, but if you’re a little adventurous there are lots of great freshies to be had.

We visited on a Friday and even though it was a powder day, the place was deserted and we didn’t have to get ourselves into a frenzy trying to chase the fresh lines.

The resort is probably not our favourite powder destination of the Mt Bandai ski resorts, but it’s worth visiting for a day especially if you’re a skier or an adventurous snowboarder. A snowboarder in our group found it hard yakka because it was too mellow and flat in spots, and by the time we’d explored steeper lines he’d resorted to the cafeteria and the groomers.
