Holiday Inn Resort Appi Kogen
Holiday Inn Resort Appi Kogen is made up of two wings: the Onsen wing (formerly the Appi Kogen Onsen Hotel and Appi Grand Annexe prior to that); and the Hills wing (formerly Appi Hills Shirakabanomori and Appi Grand Villa 3 prior to that). The hotel has spacious western twin rooms or larger rooms with a Japanese tatami sitting area. All rooms have private bathrooms and you can utilise the onsen complex. The hotel is very functional, but so don’t have expectations for ultra fancy accommodation.
Where is ANA Holiday Inn Resort Appi Kogen?
Located at the
Appi Ski Resort, the Hills wing is slopeside and a 5 minute walk to the lifts or you can get an on-demand shuttle. Alternatively, skiers can skate to the slopes whilst it’s possible to ski-in to the hotel. The Onsen wing is adjacent to the hot spring facility and connected via a passageway, and is a 350m walk to the main base of the ski resort. The walk takes about 5 - 10 minutes (at the end of the ski days it’s only 200m from the slopes to the hotel), and there is an on-demand shuttle.
The free shuttle service also connects Holiday Inn Resort to the Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel.
The Holiday Inn hotel offers a free shuttle service from the Appikogen train station or can arrange a shuttle from the Morioka train station or the Hanamaki Airport.

- Standard Twin Hills: 29m2 (up to 2 guests) with 2 single beds
- Japanese Twin Hills: 56.7m2 (up to 5 guests) with 2 single beds plus room on the tatami floor for futons
- Onsen Twin: 33m2 (up to 4 guests) with 2 single beds plus sofa beds
Rooms have an ensuite bathroom, fridge and tea making facilities, and some rooms offer mountain views.

Dining
Your accommodation package can include breakfast or breakfast and dinner (half board).
There is a restaurant onsite in the Wills wing that provides buffet meals with a range of Western, Japanese and Chinese fare. The hotel also has a Japanese restaurant.
At the Onsen wing, for dinner you can choose from a buffet restaurant (open in peak season), Korean BBQ restaurant, izakaya/robatayaki style eatery, and a casual restaurant.
Or you can walk or get a shuttle to one of the many other restaurants at Appi Resort.
