The Kyukamura Urabandai Hotel is located north of Mt Bandai (Urabandai) in the Aizu Region of the Fukushima Prefecture of Honshu Japan. It’s 18km north of the Inawashiro train station. There is one bus in the afternoon from the Inawashiro train station to the hotel, but you’ll want to have a car to explore the many ski resorts in the area.
The hotel is located on extensive grounds of approximately 93 hectares is surrounded by lakes and nature.

To fully absorb the Japanese culture, you can stay in a Japanese tatami room with up to 5 futons (ideal for up to 2-3 guests). The tatami rooms have a private toilet whilst bathing is communal in the onsen facilities.
Or you can stay in a twin western room (with option for a third guest on sofa) with private toilet and shower.
