Morning view from MSP
Plenty of living space
Full kitchen if you want to cook (or food trucks 1 min away)
Plenty of storage in the bedrooms
A nice spot to chill out
Staying at the Mountainside Palace made for a really easy stay in Niseko. It wasn’t a palatial or luxe apartment, but it certainly wasn’t daggy, and the functionality was great.

It was a really spacious well equipped apartment with all the mod cons you could ask for (multiple bathrooms, full kitchen, Netflix, coffee machine, laundry, under floor heating, easily controlled heating), and plenty of storage to spread out our clothes to get really settled in. The views of Mt Yotei that filled up the lounge and bedroom windows were impressive, that’s of course when it wasn’t puking with snow.

The location was as central in Hirafu as you could get, being just steps to the main food trucks, Seicomart, and the hub of the restaurants and bars of Niseko. It was a flat easy 5 minute walk to the Ace Family Lift.

The lounge space was very relaxing and the beds were comfortable, and other than hearing a little bit of late night partying (as to be expected considering its central location), it made for great sleeping.

There was lots of follow up prior to and during our stay to check we had everything we needed, and it was nice not having to check in or worry about keys because we had a code to get in. There were only 2 car spaces and only on one occasion we had to go to the back-up parking just up the road.

We recommend staying at the Mountainside Palace. The apartments provide good value, especially compared to the ultra-fancy apartments or mega chalets in Niseko that come with a mega price tag. If you want a bit of space to spread out rather than being in a hotel room, you can’t go wrong with MSP.
