Ki Niseko

Ki Niseko

Ki Niseko is a high-end deluxe resort hotel. Niseko accommodation that is ski-in ski-out is very rare, yet Ki (pronounced “key”) provides this ultimate convenience in combination with well-appointed resort accommodations and attentive service. This Niseko hotel offers the delightful combination of alpine charm and modern Japanese elegance.

The Ki Niseko Resort offers hotel room accommodation as well as 1 and 2 bedrooms condos/apartments.

Where is Ki Niseko?

Ki Niseko is located in the Upper Hirafu Village of Niseko Japan, adjacent to the Grand Hirafu high speed gondola. The 2nd floor of the hotel has a ski valet service where your equipment and boots are stored overnight (and dried and warmed). Each morning you can step straight out the door and be on the slopes, offering ski-in ski-out convenience.

Gondola Snowsports, a premier Niseko ski school, is located less than 50 metres from the hotel door, and Rhythm can provide ski and snowboard equipment delivery services to Ki Niseko. Everything is too easy to get out skiing or snowboarding!

The main hub of Niseko restaurants and bars are a 5-10 minute stroll away, and Ki Niseko offers a very regular shuttle service around Upper Hirafu if you don’t want to walk. A Kutchan shuttle (to the supermarket and Kutchan train station) is offered about 5 times per day.

Hotel Rooms

The Ki Niseko hotel rooms (25 sq m) are very lavish and are suitable for 2 adults, or triple share with a child 6 or under. The hotel rooms feature picture windows and an armchair to enjoy the magnificent views. The bedding configuration is either two twin beds or a king bed. Rooms offer breathtaking views with either an outlook to Mt Yotei or a slope view.

All condos/apartments are spacious and have a fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge facilities, laundry facilities, and entertainment requirements. All condo bedrooms have flexible bedding configurations with either two twin beds or a king bed. The condos offer either a Mt Yotei or ski resort view.

Fabulous!!

16/03/2016
We had an amazingly lovely stay at Ki Niseko. We stayed in a spacious one bedroom apartment that was incredibly comfortable. We could lounge on the sofas (with our comfie Japanese pyjamas on) and look up to the pretty lights of the night skiing, or spread out with computers etc at the dining table whilst waiting for our laundry. We were impressed with the comfy bed and bedding, and after travelling around other parts of Japan where there are generally only twin beds (or sleeping on the floor), it was beautiful to have a big king bed. The bathroom was luxuriously appointed and massive. It was a hard decision each afternoon whether to have a nice bath or to head down to the onsen.

The onsen was one of the highlights of Ki Niseko. Not many of the Niseko hotels have an onsen, and the Ki Niseko onsen is particularly lovely. The “shower” area had very clean finishes without looking sterile, and both the indoor and outdoor baths were beautifully relaxing. The outdoor bath had a wall of snow and 3 little waterfalls, which added to the aesthetics and ambience. And importantly the water temperature was rather westerner friendly and good for those not accustomed to the lobster pot temperatures of some onsens.

We liked that the hotel was western style without losing the essence of Japan. There were some Japanese style finishes, the beautiful onsen, a good range of Japanese fare, some Japanese staff, and there were Japanese power points (I know this shouldn’t matter, but when you stay in other Niseko apartments that have Australian power points, it feels very wrong!).

The café and bar had some very nice food and the coffees were great (which can be a rarity in Japan), however the service was lacking a little on a few occasions and we felt somewhat ignored.

Conversely the front desk service was exceptional. Other major pros of this hotel were the location, the quality of the accommodation, the views, and the aesthetics of the hotel.

We can highly recommend a stay at Ki Niseko for those looking for deluxe high end Niseko accommodation with a very convenient location.
