Program
The program for the day, including the meeting location, plus start & finish time will be arranged and agreed well in advance. Meeting locations can be anywhere at both Stubai Glacier & Schlick 2000 ski resorts, or another designated start point in Stubaital if purely ski-touring and not using the local ski lifts. Deep snow skiing courses for those that haven't experienced powder skiing before are one of the specialty options available - please let the tour operator if this is what you want.
The Skiing
The skiing & snowboarding during freeride powder guiding day can be solely bassed in a ski resort using the lifts for access, a full backcountry ski touring day using no lifts, or a combination of the two. can include both on-piste or off-piste. Slope type & difficulty chosen will depend on the ability of the participants, as well as your requirements for improvement.
When heading off-piste at both Stubai Glacier & Schlick there is something for everybody. Scenic slopes with great views and easy skiing for beginners or big faces and steep couloirs for experts, plus everything in between. With a little skinning the options open vastly. Beyond the ski resort boundaries, the big mountain terrain & possibilities are nearly endless.
Ski Ability & Gear
As these are fully private freeride powder guiding & ski touring days, all ski & snowboard abilities can be catered for, from beginner to expert. Regardless, it is still best for all participants to have a similar level of ability & experience.
Ski & snowboard gear is not included in the tour, nor is avalanche safety equipment. Bring your own or you can rent discounted ski & snowbaord gear via our either our Stubai Glacier Ski Rentals or Schlick 2000 Ski Rentals page. Note that splitboards may not be available for rent.
