Great experience with two complementary guides. Strong local knowledge and professionalism.

I had the opportunity to spend several days touring in Austria, guided by both Stefan and Ioannis. My time was split between them, as Stefan initially organized everything and, due to availability, brought in Ioannis, who is clearly a guide of the same level and category.

Starting with Ioannis. On the first day, he seemed a bit unusually nervous, which translated into a few imprecisions in his skiing and a couple of falls. Nothing serious at all, and we were able to laugh about it together, but it was clear that this was not representative of his normal level. Over the following days, his true capability became evident. Strong, skilled, and fully competent in the terrain. In hindsight, it felt like a one-off situation that will simply remain as a funny and unusual first-day story.

Stefan, on the other hand, brings a different profile. Very mature, structured, and exceptionally knowledgeable about the terrain. His understanding of snow conditions and route selection is outstanding. He consistently knew exactly where to go to maximize both safety and the quality of the skiing experience, and he never missed. I felt completely safe and well guided at all times.

There was one minor incident worth mentioning. One morning, when we were heading out together with my wife, Stefan realized he had forgotten his ski boots. However, he reacted immediately and efficiently. Before we were even ready to head up the mountain, he had already rented equipment and joined us seamlessly. It did not impact the day at all. He was clearly bothered by it, likely due to personal circumstances at the time, but from a client perspective, it was handled perfectly.

Overall, this was a very positive experience. Both guides are highly capable, and the coordination between them worked well. Stefan stands out for his deep local knowledge and calm execution, while Ioannis proved his level after an unusual start.

I would absolutely book again, especially with Stefan, with whom I’ve continued to stay in touch. What started as a guided experience has evolved into a friendly and ongoing connection, sharing photos and conversations about snow.

Stefan Meiseleder was a terrific Guide. Accommodating, smart, found some fresh tracks even when there was few. Knew the mountain well. Was a good conversationalist, knew where good food was and solid all the way around. Well worth the money and time. Certainly the best day I had was there.

I spent a week with Stefan's freeride group in Lech in February 2024 and had an absolute blast. Part of it was due to great snow conditions, but the guided tour with the group put it over the top.
Stefan was an amazing guide, and how cool was it not to ski all week with a bunch of likeminded powder-lovers. When the snow was fresh, we skied powder all day close to the lifts. Otherwise, powder was found with some ski touring. Stefan managed the group really well and truly showed us some of the secret stashes of Lech that neither one of us would have ever found on our own.

I will definitely be back to Lech, and when I do I will book another week with Stefan. Highly recommend!

Stefan was an excellent guide.
He also gave goos instruction. Which I felt helped my technical skills.

I was skiing by myself & Stefan was able to put me in with a group which suited what I wanted exactly.

We did a day of resort based skiing. Some on piste skill training & off piste.

And we did a day of backcountry with difficult skinning & boot packing. Great rewards with great powder runs in the back country..

We found Stefan through the Powderhounds website. In addition to being a terrific guide, he helped us plan our entire two week ski trip to Austria. My husband and I flew to Innsbruck from the US and stayed at a hotel in the City Center recommended by Stefan. He picked us up every morning and drove us to a different ski resort each day and recommended great restaurants for us each evening. The second week our 4 nephews arrived and he drove us all to St Anton where we stayed for a week. He guided us for another 4 days in St Anton and then arranged for a colleague to guide us the last three days as he was already booked. Stefan is highly educated, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced regarding skiing in the Alps. Our group felt very confident and safe with him guiding and instructing us both on and off piste. He challenged us but never beyond our potential. He knew the Mountains and found the best snow and runs (and places to eat on the Mountain!) He was also delightful to be around with a great sense of humor. He was able to manage our group of 6 effortlessly, despite the fact that we had a wide range of skiing abilities. We highly recommend Stefan!!!!

Excellent, knowledgeable and safety focused guide. Mixed experience, bilingual group and he did fantastic job of making it fun and appropriate for all.
