Norway's best lift-based off-piste (in competition with Narvik). 780m drop in the lifts but over 1000m if you take the legendary "alperit" down to Stranda town (bus or taxi back to the ski area).

Nice forest skiing when it snows (and it often does!). Try to hit the mark when the low pressure comes in from the northwest.

In sunny weather there are several legendary summit tours in the Sunnmörsalperna area.

Gondola lift and partly modern lifts.
Plenty of luxurious mountain cabins adjacent to the ski area. Down in town there is a hotel. Zero nightlife.

Stranda is owned by a large seafood company that also runs Europe's largest pizza factory down in the valley. The gondolas are decorated with advertisements for the various brands: Grandiosa Pizza, Stranda Mörr etc.
