Glorenza (a.k.a. Glurns) is an incredible medieval walled village near Belpiano - Schöneben ski resort. Whilst driving through the town is one of the more fascinating things to do on the road in Italy, spending some more time here on foot, or staying a night or two, reaps more rewards. A fairytale if covered in snow, Glorenza is an absolute non-skiing highlight of any visit to Italy.

Glorenza is located in the Alto Adige - South Tyrol region of northern Italy at a wonderful intersection of three nations. Just 25km by road (30min drive) south of the Austrian border at Reschen Pass and less than 10km from the Swiss border with Val Müstair, Glorenza is a prime candidate for a ski safari base for anyone with their own means of transport.
