Eating On Mountain
There are two day lodges at
Nakiska ski resort, one at the base and another mid-mountain. Both have been recently renovated and provide quite a few options for dining. There’s a cafeteria, and the Finish Line Lounge provides pub style food. On a lovely day, the Patio BBQ pit is great for a hamburger. There’s also a coffee shop selling Starbucks coffees.
Facilities for Children
Nakiska offers daycare services for children 19 months to 6 years old. Prices are fairly comparable to other day care services offered at ski resorts across Canada. The day care is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when it’s not peak period or holidays.
Nakiska Ski School
A variety of different programs are offered at the Nakiska Winter Sports School
for skiing and snowboarding. Mini-monsters is for 3 and 4 year old skiers at very reasonable prices. There are also programs for older children, but it appears there are only limited programs for adults with more of a focus on novices.
Ski and Snowboard Rental
There is a rental shop at Nakiska which provides ski and snowboard equipment hire for all skill levels. A mid-performance package is reasonably priced for on-mountain rental.
