Morning Eagle Apartments, Whitefish Mountain Resort Accommodation at a ski resort doesn’t come better than the apartments at the Morning Eagle complex. When you have an extended stay at a ski resort you want space, comfort, full amenities and convenient location. Morning Eagle ticks all the boxes for fully self contained apartments in the snow.

Where is Morning Eagle? Located in the upper village of the ski resort at Whitefish Mountain Resort, Morning Eagle is located right next to the resort check in desk at the Kintla Lodge. Morning Eagle has ski in ski out convenience.

The bus stop for the village shuttle and the Snow Bus is directly across the road.

Apartments/Condos All apartments have either views of the ski mountain at the rear of the building or views towards the valley and Glacier National Park at the front.

The two bedroom apartments at Morning Eagle are superbly furnished and appointed. The full kitchen has everything you need to cook a full three course dinner, plus a huge refrigerator for your coldies. There are two stools at the breakfast bar, seating for four at the dining table by the window, plus a sofa and two comfy lounge chairs in the living area in front of a wide screen TV and gas fireplace. The main veranda with an outdoor setting can be accessed from the lounge.

Of the two bedrooms, the master room has full ensuite, extensive storage for clothes and luggage, TV, and access to a second private veranda. The second bedroom has similarly extensive storage for clothes and luggage, and a TV.

Both rooms have queen beds or other bedding configurations are available, as well as a sofa bed. The beds were comfortable and sleep quality was great, with the only exception being the early morning noise of road clearing – but that means it has snowed, so what a lovely noise!

A second full bathroom is located near the entry, which includes a large washer and dryer.

Facilities and Services Facilities and services at Morning Eagle:
  • Outdoor hot tub located on 5th floor with views of the ski hill and the valley;
  • Full laundry facilities in each apartment;
  • Complimentary Wi FI internet is available throughout the building;
  • Ski lockers for each apartment near rear access door to the slopes;
  • Fitness room/gym;
  • Heated underground parking in the building;
  • 24hr reception with staff that are only too happy to assist with any issues (not that you’ll have any).
  • World’s best ski bar, the Bierstube, is directly across the road.
  • Main ski lift is a short 2 minute skate away from the rear of the building.
Dining With full kitchen facilities, self catering is a definite option for some meals whilst at Whitefish. Breakfast in particular is the best meal to cater for as options within the resort are limited and generally not impressive, with the notable exception of the spread put on at the Hibernation House. You can pay a few sheckles for the all you eat breakfast festival held there every morning.

Lunch anywhere on the hill will be superb. The quality of food available (try the specials) at the Base Lodge and Summit House is excellent.

Dinner offerings aren’t great for such a large ski resort. Very good casual dining is available at the Hellroaring Saloon and Eatery and excellent fine dining is at the Kandahar. Otherwise heading down the road toward downtown Whitefish has plenty of options available ranging from juicy BBQ ribs at the Piggyback BBQ, to fine dining at the Boat Club.

Shopping Whilst the shopping at Whitefish Mountain Resort is limited, downtown Whitefish is only a short drive (13km) away and has all your shopping requirements covered. Even if you don’t have a car, the Snow Bus goes into the town of Whitefish throughout the day and late at night stopping at all the major (and some not so major) shopping areas.

Why Stay at Morning Eagle? Ski in ski out, endless views, located across the road from one the best ski resort bars in the world, underground parking, beautifully furnished and fully self contained. What more could one ask for?
