Where is the Westwind?
The Westwind at Vail is located in the heart of Lionshead village, a short walk from the base of the Eagle Bahn Gondola. Shops and restaurants are also only a very short walk away. Access by vehicle is simple and is straight off the South Frontage Road.
Condos
The condos come in a variety of bedroom and bathroom configurations (1 to 4 bedroom units). All provide a comfortable atmosphere for guests. Every condo features a living room, a fireplace and a balcony with a view of the mountain. They also have a fully equipped kitchen which combined with the close proximity to supermarkets, allows guests to cook healthy food economically.
All condominiums are individually owned and decorated. This can potentially be a drawback if the décor of a specific condo is not to your taste. The condos are all equipped to the same high standard, and there is daily maid service to ensure they stay that way throughout your stay.
Facilities
Everything is pretty much in your condo, but the Westwind also features:
- Internet access in each unit
- Two outdoor hot tubs and a swimming pool, all with views of the mountain
- Heated undercover parking (fantastic)
- Ski lockers
- Good laundry facilities for a small fee in a room near the undercover car park
Dining
There is no restaurant at the Westwind. Each Westwind condo has a full kitchen, and supermarkets are nearby to stock up on supplies. If or if you don’t want to self-cater, Vail is loaded with quality
restaurants and eateries.
