Kanazawa Accommodation

Kanazawa accommodation ranges from modern western hotels to simple guesthouses to exquisite ryokan where you can experience omotenashi hospitality at its finest.

The city of Kanazawa isn’t too large so you can see many attractions on foot from your hotel or explore by bicycle. Or very conveniently, there are a couple of bus loops that head about a main block wide of the Kanazawa Castle park and the Kenroku-en gardens, and run to and from Kanazawa Station, so if you stay reasonably centrally, you’ll be easily able to go sightseeing. The two maps above will give you a feel for the locations of various activities and the bus loops.

Kanazawa Station

Particularly if you just have a short time in Kanazawa, you might want to stay near the modern Kanazawa train station for easy access off the shinkansen and for shuttle connections to the historic parts of town via the Kanazawa Bus Loops. Dining options are also prolific in this area.

Next to Korinbo is the Nagamachi Samurai District, with its historic samurai residences and cobblestone streets with earthen walls.
