Ischgl Freeride Camp
Off-piste Freeride Guided-Progression Tour in the Paznaun Valley
Ischgl is a resort in the west Tirol of Austria, on the border with Switzerland. Rather famous for parties, it is also rightly famous for its freeride skiing terrain (plus the most modern ski lifts in the Alps!). And it snows a lot here too, with the region close to some well-known powder magnets nearby in the Arlberg. Together with the Swiss duty-free zone of Samnaun, plus the smaller resorts of Galtür, Kappel and See, it forms one of the best ski areas in the Alps for a freeride camp.
This a trip for freeride beginners as well as experienced freeriders and anyone in between. Camp participants will be split into 3 groups according to their ski level. Accommodation will be in self-contained apartments with shared facilities, so come as a solo, couple or group for some of the best lift-accessed freeriding in the world.

The Skiing
Ischgl and the Paznaun valley in Austria is heaven for the freerider. Consistent volumes of snow, incredible terrain, and a selection of wonderful ski resorts make it the perfect location for a freeride camp. Whilst Ischgl is the main menu with its stunning terrain & lift system, the smaller nearby ski areas of Kappl & See are almost deserted on powder days. Kappl has Freeride World Tour pedigree too, so you know there is some fun to be had! At the top of the valley, Galtür provides a different feel to the other Paznaun resorts, and linked to Ischgl, the Swiss resort of Samnaun has the decidedly strange ‘duty-free’ aspect to go with its smaller crowds & unreal terrain.
During the camp, while riding the best off-piste in the valley with your guides there is also a focus on avalanche awareness, orientation in terrain, safety, and ski technique. 3 guides will each have a group of guests with similar ski ability to allow for the best possible ski experience in terms of fun & progression.
After skiing, Ischgl has some of the world’s most raucous après ski, so be prepared! And remember that you will have a big day skiing the following day.
Program
The camp starts on the afternoon of the first day at the accommodation in Kappl. After meeting the guides & enjoying a welcome dinner in the evening, the following four days are spent skiing the best off-piste snow & terrain in the valley in your small group of skiers. Enjoy world-class après ski & relax in the sauna at the end of the day. For detailed information on the day-to-day program, see the Itinerary tab.

Each group will have coaching on the mountain as required, plus there will be the opportunity for evening photo/ video analysis & coaching to help prepare you for the coming day.
