Niseko in Hokkaido is well renowned as being the powder capital of Japan and it also has the advantage of having expansive in-bounds terrain to explore, plus the bonus of having vibrant villages. The nearby ski resorts of Rusutsu and Kiroro also offer great terrain and plenty of snow.
The Powder Discovery Tour from Whiteroom is a fully hosted and guided tour that is based in Niseko.

Tour
The experienced Whiteroom resort guides will show you the Niseko region ski resorts and will take the hassle out of second guessing where you should find the best powder stashes.
With the ability to start where the conditions are best or even better where you can beat the lift queues, this tour will ensure you spend the most time in powder possible during your time in Japan.
Each night you will stay in the comfortable Always Niseko, where you can wander into town to enjoy Hirafu’s lively restaurant and nightlife scene. Your guides will also be there to take you out to some great local restaurants in the area as well as a local onsen tour.

Group
This is a group tour where solos, duos and small groups are welcome to join the tour.
Each tour is for a maximum of 10 people and a minimum of 3. The client to guide ratio is a maximum of 6 to 1.
Ski Resorts
Ability Level
The minimum ability level required is advanced on-piste and high/strong intermediate in powder. The trip is for skiers and boarders who are confidently in control at all times on-piste, and comfortable in powder.
You should be able to adjust the size and length of your turns, and be comfortable in a variety of different terrain and snow, including powder and gladed trees.
Equipment
This tour does not require avalanche safety gear.

Lodging
Always Niseko is a modern hotel with king/twin bed rooms with ensuite. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Central Hirafu or there are free guest shuttles. More information on
