As we came into the road level entrance, we could see that the Snowpine Lodge oozed history. There were rustic old creaky stairs, beautiful granite walls, and historical photos and artefacts. As we descended to the actual lodge, the modern luxury of Snowpine was more apparent and there was definitely nothing squeaky, yet it still oozed historic charm.

We stayed in a room that was deluxe. It was on the small side but space wasn’t an issue considering the number of common rooms in the lodge. The bed linens were exquisite, and our sleep quality was fantastic and the room really quiet.

The food was a real highlight of our stay with fabulous high quality food and nice wines. The lodge possibly wasn’t quite as social as some of the other Alta lodges where there are vibrant bars and shared dinner tables. Snowpine was more of a really relaxing lodge, and rather than being like a big hotel, it was delightfully boutique and peaceful.

The service was very impressive – attentive and friendly, and another higlight our stay.
