Kookaburra Lodge

Kookaburra Lodge

The Kookaburra Lodge provides condo (apartment) style accommodation at Sun Peaks. It is ideal for families or groups who want self-contained accommodation with a living room and a full kitchen. The Kookaburra lodge condos are delightfully modern and upscale.

Where is the Kookaburra Lodge?

The Kookaburra Lodge is situated on the edge of the main village, and only a couple of minutes walk or slide to the main restaurants and shops of Sun Peaks. With further development occurring at Sun Peaks, the Kookaburra Lodge is becoming progressively closer to the centre of the village. The lodge is located across the road from the sports centre.

The Kookaburra Lodge is almost ski-in ski-out with only a minute walk to get to the slopes. The address for Kookaburra Lodge is 7329 Village Way, Sun Peaks.

Condos

Kookaburra Lodge has a choice of condos (apartments) that are 1 bedroom (with 1 bathroom), 2 bedrooms (with 2 bathrooms) or 3 bedrooms (with 3 bathrooms).
All the condos are privately owned so they’re all furnished slightly differently, but there’s a theme of stylish modern décor throughout that matches the contemporary European architecture of the building.

All condos have a full kitchen with granite bench tops, quality appliances, and extensive cooking utensils. The spacious living area has a fireplace, a sofa bed, dining table, and television with cable channels and DVD. Out on the balcony is a private outdoor hot tub.

The beds have comfortable pillow-top mattresses and high quality bedding, and the bathrooms are spacious.

Other condo features include a clothes washer and dryer. High-speed internet access is complimentary.

Facilities

Facilities and services of the lodge include:
  • Ski lockers are located at the entrance level to the building
  • Complimentary underground parking with lift access up to the condos
  • An on-site restaurant and bar, the Voyageur Bistro, a dining highlight of Sun Peaks
  • On-site day spa

Lots of Space

26/04/2013
This is a great spot to stay at Sun Peaks. Our family stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom condo at the Kookaburra Lodge. The apartment was very elegantly furnished, the living area was really large, and it was also incredibly functional.

The bed was really comfortable, the only downside to the sleep quality was that the blinds were somewhat see-through and light was shining in through the windows at night. The bathroom was really large and the steam shower was very impressive.

The views from the apartment were really lovely and it was nice in the evenings to watch the groomers at work on the mountain.

There were a couple of maintenance issues such as the hot tub not being turned on and the clothes dryer didn’t really work, but these weren’t a major concern.

Whilst not perfectly ski-in ski-out or smack bang in the middle of the action, the location was really good. It only took a minute before being able to click into the skis, and the restaurants and shops are only a stone’s throw away. And having the Voyageur Bistro on-site (and within stumbling distance!) was a big bonus too.

We’d happy recommend the Kookaburra Lodge to family or friends.
