Sun Valley dining includes the restaurants at the Sun Valley Resort Village and in the town of Ketchum. On-mountain dining options can be found on the services and facilities page.

Sun Valley Resort Restaurants

The Sun Valley Resort Village is rather small and only offers a small selection of dining options.

At the Sun Valley Inn is the Ram Restaurant, an institution of Sun Valley dining. This historic restaurant offers fine dining. The lounge bar adjacent to the Ram Restaurant has beautiful décor with a range of tables and chairs in which to relax over a beverage. The lounge serves up some really lovely appetizers.

There is also a lounge bar in the Sun Valley Lodge.

The Village Station is a family friendly pub in the village, with affordable meals that are very good.

For daytime fare, head to Konditorei, a gorgeous bakery café that has a huge range of sweet and savoury baked goods, along with lovely coffees, soups and salads. Sit at the standard tables and chairs, or there is a chill out zone near the fireplace with sofas.

There is also a breakfast restaurant at The Lodge, and in the basement is the bowling alley where there is a bar.

Or for a special lunch or dinner experience you can take a horse drawn sleigh to the Trail Creek Cabin which is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of Sun Valley Lodge. Or you can cross country ski or snowshoe to the cabin if you wish.

At Sun Valley Ski Resort is the famous Roundhouse Restaurant, a historic restaurant that oozes charm. It’s only open on weekends for dinner, and you can catch the gondola to and from The Roundhouse.

Ketchum Restaurants & Bars

The town of Ketchum has a very good array of restaurants and bars to choose from. Here’s just a small selection of Ketchum restaurants.

Despite being a little touristy, it seems like a rite of passage to go to the Pioneer Saloon (320 Main St N, Ketchum). It’s a western themed pub and the restaurant out the back is renowned for its steaks and spuds (it is Idaho after all!). It can be hard to get into the Pioneer Saloon for a meal and they don’t take reservations, and once you’re seated they’ll hurry you along to keep the turnover high. Alternatively you can just have a drink at the bar, enjoy the complimentary chips and salsa, and watch the waitresses in their mini skirts and cowboy boots.

The Warfield Distillery & Brewery (280 N Main St, Ketchum) distils gin, vodka and whiskey, and the bar serves up creative drinks. The distillery has pretty funky décor and they have nice meals too.

Enoteca on the corner of Main Street and Sun Valley Rd (300 N Main St, Ketchum) is a respected wine bar and restaurant.

The Sawtooth Club (231 Main St S, Ketchum) offers a large range of very well priced meals.
