Creme de la Creme Innsbruck Ski Tour

Overview

Explore the best ski resorts & freeride powder zones around Innsbruck in the Austrian Tirol with a professional guide on this fully customised private 7-day tour. Follow the powder, ride on or off-piste, ski-tour & backcountry - your tour, your choice! Get a group together and book in for your best dates & duration. What are you waiting for?

Innsbruck is a fantastic city full of interest & surrounded by an amazing array of ski resorts & alpine terrain within a short drive of the city centre. The Creme de la Creme tour will allow you to experience the very best freeriding or on-piste skiing in the central Tyrol, without traveling any more than 45 minutes from your Innsbruck hotel. Not bound to one specific resort, the tour can explore different ski areas in the region, going where the conditions are best and depending on the group's wants & needs!

The goal of the tour is clear: find the best snow conditions (powder if possible) and do as many runs as the group can muster. All under the supervision and direction of your guides which hold the highest possible Austrian guiding and safety qualifications.

Itinerary

The duration of the tour is customisable depending on your best dates and duration. Pricing is indicated for 5-days skiing but can be adjusted according to duration. Regardless, every day will follow a simple program - after breakfast in the hotel, your group will be picked up by the guide (in the mini-bus). The group will have lunch together at some mountain restaurants and go find the best snow there is in between. After skiing, with some help from the guide, you can experience the fabulous sights & nightlife of Innsbruck.

As for ski resorts, if there is a big dump of snow from the north, resorts like Nordkette or Seefeld can be excellent. If it comes from the south, the group might go to Stubai Glacier, Kühtai, Schlick or Axamer Lizum. Or perhaps you are keen on a ski-tour up to the peaks at Glungezer or Patscherkofel. Near Innsbruck, there is always the perfect option for every day. The guides will help you experience not only the classics, but also very little-known runs that you would never find without a local guide.

Guides

All guides on the tour are full time professionals with the highest Austrian qualifications as ski instructors & off-piste ski guides. All are multilingual in English, German & Italian.

Ski Ability & Customising Your Tour

This tour can be fully customised to meet any of your skiing (or snowboarding/splitboarding) needs and match your group’s ski ability. If skiing off-piste, freeride powder is not your thing, but you want to learn, the guide can slowly introduce you to it, providing advice & skills development, whilst showing you the best ski areas the region has to offer. If you wish to be guided through the local resorts by staying on the groomed pistes, it can done too. All guides are qualified instructors that can easily spend some time on technical improvement if you wish. If you are more into ski-touring away from the ski lifts, the region has an incredible range of quiet valleys to explore, and all are well-known to the guides! Just ask and the guides will try to deliver.

The tour duration can be for longer or shorter than 7 days.

Transport & Group Size

Transport during the tour is by a minibus with 8 passenger seats. Maximum group size is therefore 8 guests.

Creme de la Creme Innsbruck 7-Day Itinerary

Anything is possible and the group can nominate what they want to achieve each day and whether they wish to ski on-piste, off-piste or do some ski touring. The guide will choose the best location each day to fit the groups wishes. A sample itinerary is outlined below.

Day 1: Arrival Day

Be met at the Innsbruck train station or airport (or the Munich airport!) and be transferred to your Innsbruck hotel. Get to know the guide at the hotel bar for a discussion about the week's skiing. Organise all rental equipment & avalanche safety gear (if required), so the maximum ski time can be achieved in the following days.

Day 2: Ski Axamer Lizum

Pick up at the hotel by 8.30am every day (or earlier if by arrangement). Travel to Axamer Lizum to get your first taste of what the region has to offer. Depending on conditions, potential to complete some long on-piste or freeride descents. Lunch at the mountain-top restaurant or in the village. Return drop off at hotel is after 4pm every day. Your guides will give you dinner and entertainment recommendations each day.

Day 3: Freeride at Schlick 2000

Journey into the Stubaital and the delightful paradise of Schlick above the village of Fulpmes. Ski deserted slopes, broad alpine off-piste and even trees. Lunch options are awesome at several traditional Austrian mountain restaurants.

Known as a family ski resort, Seefeld holds many secrets for freeriders seeking powder, tree-skiing and couloirs all hidden away from its gentle pistes.

Day 7: Depart Innsbruck

After a big last night on the town and a hearty breakfast it is time to say goodbye to the greatest ski city in the world. You will be transferred to the Innsbruck train station or airport (or driven to Munich!). See you nect time!
