Perfect in every way!

POWDERHOUNDS.COM16/05/2012
The Hotel Madeline (formerly the Capella) is located in the best spot at Telluride. Not only is it conveniently ski-in ski-out; it’s also right in the hub of the mountain village. The location is great for anyone but it’s perfect for families in particular, because the slope alongside the hotel is a gentle green run, and kids ski school and child care is only 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was extraordinarily spacious and just beautiful. The gas fireplaces in the living room and bedroom were a highlight, as was the doona topped mattress on the bed. It was possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on! The bathroom was also amazing and humungous!

The hotel was very stylish without being over the top, and whilst it’s a large hotel, it had the personalised feel of a boutique hotel. The service was excellent and the ski valet service in particular made getting out onto the slopes extremely easy. They even offered us hand and boot warmers on chilly mornings!

Other amenities such as the restaurant, bar and swimming pool were impressive, and sitting in the hot tub overlooking the slopes was a great way to relax after skiing.

The Madeline Hotel was an incredibly delightful place to stay. The accommodation comes with an upscale price-tag, but the rates are less than what you’d expect for such quality lodgings.
