Alpenglow Lodge Review: A Cozy Retreat in Whistler

13/01/2024
My partner and I recently stayed at the Alpenglow Lodge in Whistler, and overall, we had a satisfying experience.

Accommodation (3.5/5):
The room, though adequate for a couple, felt a bit cramped after unpacking our snow gear. The kitchenette was a welcome addition, allowing us to save money by preparing our dinners. The weekly cleaning service by housekeeping was a nice touch. The balcony provided a pleasant space to unwind.

Amenities (3/5):
Regrettably, the spa was out of order during our stay, but the hotel arranged for us to use the hot tub at the neighbouring property, which we appreciated. The gym's limited hours (9 am to 9 pm) made it inconvenient for those wanting an early morning workout before hitting the slopes.

Location (3/5):
The location was decent, with a free shuttle to the lifts every 10 minutes, making it easy to access the slopes. Nearby restaurants and a supermarket were convenient, and the area felt safe.

Value for Money (4.5/5):
Alpenglow Lodge offered great value for money, being the most affordable option we could find for our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the overall quality and amenities provided for the cost.

Final Thoughts:
While there were some minor inconveniences, the Alpenglow Lodge delivered a comfortable and budget-friendly stay. The access to nearby amenities, coupled with the accommodating response to the spa issue, contributed to an overall positive experience. We would recommend Alpenglow Lodge to budget-conscious travelers looking for a cozy retreat in the heart of Whistler.
