Activities & Tours
A lot of Squaw Valley activities are available at High Camp. This includes a 1960 Winter Olympic Museum (ho hum), an ice skating rink, and even a massive swimming pool complex that is open from mid March.
In the village there is a 10 metre climbing wall and in the valley there is dog sledding, snow shoeing, snow tubing and 18kms of cross-country trails.
If the snow has inexplicably turned to Sierra cement or you want a day off skiing, drive to Nevada and visit Reno or the historic Virginia City, or simply wander along the pretty shoreline of Lake Tahoe. In Nevada you can gamble to your heart’s content.
A number of day spas are located in Squaw Valley. The Resort at Squaw Creek has a large complex, and others include Trilogy Spa which offers a bizarre après ski/mini treatment group combination. Booze, massage, group, mmmmm............
