Stellar Heliskiing

Stellar Heli Skiing BC Canada Snorting white powder is the most addictive recreational activity that exists. Don’t try and fight the addiction though, just go with the flow. Go heli skiing, enjoy lots of face shots, and inhale all the powder you want. The only problem is that after you come down the mountain you’ll also have to come down from your high. Heli skiing with Stellar is way too exciting!

Stellar Heli Skiing is located in the interior of BC where the snow falls in abundance and the quality of the powder is ….. stellar! This is a place where the skiing and boarding can score 10 out of 10 on the sick-ometer.

Where is Stellar Heli Skiing Located? Stellar Heli Skiing is located in British Columbia Canada, the home of exceptional heli skiing, based in the very small town of Meadow Creek, about 2 hours north of Nelson. The heli ski terrain is at the north end of Kootenay Lake in amongst the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges.

Heli Ski Packages With Stellar Heliskiing you have the flexibility to do just one day of heli skiing or multiple days. A one day base package costs CAD$1095 plus tax (based on 12 riders) which includes 4 runs of guided heli skiing, lunch, and the use of an avalanche transceiver. Additional runs are $95 per person (2012 rates). At the end of an epic day you can join the crew for après beverages and snacks.

Accommodation choice is up to you. If you’re just heli skiing for one day you may choose to stay in Nelson accommodation. Or if you’re stringing together multiple days to make the perfect get away, Stellar can assist with accommodation reservations or include accommodation as part of a package.

Stellar can also fully customise private heli skiing packages where you’ll have a 5-star experience and an A-Star helicopter to yourself.

Stellar Heli Skiing Terrain The terrain that rises up from the lake is diverse. The 320 square kilometres (32,000 hectares) of tenure includes glaciers, big mountain slopes, and open treeline skiing, and all that space is only shared with a maximum of 12 guests per day. Runs are 1,500 to 4,000 foot descents, and intermediate up to expert skiers and boarders are catered for.

The region is world renowned for the dry powder snow, and the mountains at the north end of Kootenay Lake have consistently cold temperatures. The terrain reaches up to 10,000 feet in elevation, further contributing to the high quality snow.

Safety Heli-Cat Canada sets very high standards for safety, and as a member of this association, safety is the highest priority for Stellar Heli Skiing. Their procedures are impeccable for helicopter safety, guest briefings, and avalanche management, and the guides are well qualified and highly experienced.

Why Ski or Board with Stellar Heli Skiing? With 4 guests per guide and only three groups per A-star helicopter, the small group format guarantees personalized service and an abundance of fresh tracks. The exhilaration of all that virgin powder may just be mind blowing.

Dream to take yourself to the ultimate ski or snowboard experience. It will be stellar!
